This jacket is crafted from coat boucle, a fabric with a distinctive grainy texture. The secret of the garment’s silhouette lies in the additional seams that define the waist. The jacket’s shoulders are angled forward toward the chest, a technique the fashion house refers to as “Shy Shoulders.” It first appeared in the Color.Block FW23/24 collection as a nod to the timid posture of a child who has done something wrong. The Shy Shoulders silhouette is the result of creative director Nino Shamatava of Ushatava reflecting on growing up and the quest for inner freedom.
